Before there were creative writing programs, people taught themselves to write by reading - and then by showing their work to others, whether writer friends or publishers, who can act as mentors/editors. Are you saying that visual artists can just learn from the work of others?Elizabeth Benedicthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11278034381576478616noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8312581322557864368.post-14573027785673743242009-11-21T14:06:11.881-08:002009-11-21T14:06:11.881-08:00I totaly think so. Writing I believe, if it is any good and isn't just about therapy of typing or scribbling. It's something that if even just to the self, requires: effort of precision, thinking how to be precise and perhaps even the helpful outside backboard of a mentor. Very helpful, what do you think what did I miss?Nick's Test Groundhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11997552174403223336noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8312581322557864368.post-66641999693535100772009-09-19T07:28:32.947-07:002009-09-19T07:28:32.947-07:00This comment has been removed by the author.Plain Janehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02386697928133535013noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8312581322557864368.post-30691106678557707892009-09-05T02:24:13.450-07:002009-09-05T02:24:13.450-07:00Nice, i look forward to reading it :)Nice, i look forward to reading it :)Zainahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13423080909719005419noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8312581322557864368.post-50771564329363478732009-08-23T19:39:27.983-07:002009-08-23T19:39:27.983-07:00Thanks for writing and for your enthusiasm and int...Thanks for writing and for your enthusiasm and interest. Joyce Carol Oates' piece is wonderful - as are the others. The writers really delved deeply in writing their pieces, really gave a great deal of themselves. I was immensely moved by what people wrote, and I hope readers will be too.
